Mo Dower grew up the daughter of frugal, Depression-era parents in a suburb surrounded by farm fields—running the neighborhood until nightfall while also milking cows on Christmas Eve—an upbringing that instilled a strong work ethic, a practical mindset, and a passion for caring for humans and animals. As a large animal veterinarian, she spent her career working alongside horse owners, farmers, and ranchers, later becoming a nationwide subject matter expert for complex medical cases—demanding work built on quick thinking and showing up to get the job done. She's carried that same mindset into raising her family in Northern Colorado and into her service as a Berthoud Trustee and Mayor Pro Tem, which reinforced her belief that leadership should be grounded and community-focused, not driven by personal gain, and that public servants should represent their constituents as fellow citizens.
